Clubfitting FAQs

  • What kind of fittings are offered?

We offer a full bag fitting or you can have individual clubs fitted. With each fitting we look at the important aspects of each club – shafts, heads, and grips are the main focus.

  • How long does a fitting last?

A full bag fitting will last an hour to an hour and a half. It’s worth the time! A properly fitted club will make a huge difference in your game. For individual clubs, times will vary depending on the type of club. Typically, you can expect individual club fittings to take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Are there different types of club brands I can try?

Yes, we carry Mizuno, Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Ping, and PXG!

  • Why should I purchase clubs from The Golf Performance Center at Westhaven?

Tim is a Master Clubfitter! He takes exceptional care to confirm your specific needs in a golf club. All clubs are built by top club makers, however, they come to Tim ungripped so the length can be checked and he can make sure the size of the grip found during the fitting process is correct.  Loft and lie angles are also checked during this process, guaranteeing the club will perform at its best.

  • Do you recommend bag make up?

Yes, we do!  Conversations are very important on what you feel you need for your bag.  A player knows where their yardage gaps are – it’s our job to help make sure those gaps are met so that you have confidence in all your clubs.

  • What technology do you use to complete a fitting?

We have a full set of fitting clubs at various lengths and grip sizes. We use these to find your specific needs. In addition, we use TrackMan® technology that helps us determine the best head/shaft combinations for your swing.

  • Is your fitting indoors or outdoors?

Our fittings are done hitting from indoors – out onto the driving range.  We are covered from weather while still being able to track the ball flight down range.

  • Does it cost more to purchase clubs through you over buying them at a store?

Typically, the cost between the two are very close, however, upcharge grips and shafts might add slightly more cost on clubs. A fitted club is the best way to go for your game! We ensure that you get the product you were fit for.  If it’s not something minor that we can’t fix, we’ll send the club(s) back to the manufacturer to get it right.

  • How long does it take to get my clubs once I order them?

Typically it take about 2 to 3 weeks without any back order situations.  If needed, faster shipping may be purchased to expedite the process.

  • Do you repair clubs?

Yes, we have an onsite repair office where we complete all needed club repairs.

  • If I get fitted, and something just isn’t right, can I come back in and get it checked?

Absolutely! Your satisfaction is very important to us! If it’s something small or large, we will work with you to make it right.

  • PXG Clubfitting

Never sold off the shelf, PXG clubs are engineered to be customized for optimum performance.

PXG club fittings are data driven, immersive experiences, focused completely on your performance goals. By working to improve your mishit performance - not master the elusive “golf shot” - your fitter will help you leverage PXG equipment to put together consistently better rounds.

To understand your natural tendencies, your fitting will begin with your existing equipment. Then, utilizing PXG clubs, your fitter will evaluate factors such as face angle, launch angle, ball speed, spin rate, attack angle and club path, to recommend the configurations that most improve your game.

PXG fitting studios are equipped with PXG’s entire club collection, a complete matrix of 300+ premium shafts, and state-of-the-art performance-tracking technology.

  • PXG Club Building

Every club is built by hand with painstaking care to meet your unique specifications and then carefully inspected by PXG’s world-class quality control team before being black-boxed and prepared for delivery.
